his elegant Mid-Century Modern ashtray was realized by Rosenthal- one of the world's premier makers of crystal products- in Germany, circa 1970. IT features a circular form- a design motif that is reiterated in the recurring concentric shapes incised into the hollow space in the center of the piece. There is also a demi line indentation around the rim, perfect for holding cigarettes, cigars or cigarillos. With its clean modernist lines and impeccable construction, this piece is not only a functional ashtray but an objet d'art in its own right that beautifies any surface that it graces. It offers the weight that one expects from a luxury object of this quality. Signed "Rosenthal Germany" on its base. Excellent condition.
